About the role: The role of Sponsorship Compliance Associate is to provide compliance advice and support to franchises across the Boston Scientific business. The role is required to liaise with multiple stakeholders including sales and marketing teams, the ANZ leadership team, the AMEA compliance team and external stakeholders. This role manages all administrative and compliance components that are associated with sponsorships, education grants and donations; also ensures all local and corporate compliance policy requirements are met and adhered to. The role partners with AMEA Legal & Compliance to ensure an adequate control environment to detect and prevent compliance violations. Key responsibilities: Has a thorough working knowledge of internal compliance policies and industry code of practice. Manages the process and documentation control of all education grants, in house physician and/or nurse training, proctorships and donations. Coordinates with franchise, regional compliance, and external stakeholders including physicians, to ensure compliance to policies. Identifies gaps in current processes, develops solutions to enhance compliance and collaborates with local and regional compliance team to develop and deploy training. Leads monthly review of open case files and facilitates close out; prepares and advises the team on treatment of future events. Partners with the Accounting Team to ensure accruals of outstanding events are accurately accounted. Implements or revises key performance indicators to help proactively identify compliance risk that should be escalated to management for remediation. Partners with cross functional teams and franchises to refine existing practices. Ensures all paperwork and filed documents are up to date and compliant with policy. Ensures deadlines are met without compromising compliance. Primary point of contact for audits and compliance reviews. Represents Boston Scientific values and integrity. Functional Expertise Proven ability to interpret company policies and procedures to resolve issues and maintain compliance. Stays up to date in areas of expertise and demonstrates use of that knowledge to successfully achieve goals and objectives. Desirable Experience 3+ years relevant experience, working within a quality or compliance related role. Medical Industry Experience an advantage. Working knowledge of Medical Technology Association of Australia’s Code of Practice.
